Nudge Forward is an immersive, two-day case experience designed for final-year accounting students who want to go beyond theory and understand how tax and structuring decisions are made in real client situations.

This is not a lecture. It’s an opportunity to step into the role of a technical tax adviser - working alongside experienced accountants, exploring complex client scenarios, and developing practical strategies that shape real business outcomes.

Across the two days, students will take part in technical masterclasses covering structuring, Division 7A, UPEs, CGT concessions, and private client advisory - before applying that knowledge in a live case study challenge. Working in small teams, participants will analyse a real-world client scenario, identify risks and opportunities, and present their recommendations to a judging panel.

Nudge Forward is designed to bridge the gap between university and professional practice - helping students build confidence, develop applied technical skills, and gain insight into the type of thinking modern accounting demands.
